COVER US IN PRAYER

PRAYER + PRAISES

In all we do, we depend on God’s goodness, generosity, and protection to serve survivors and stand against the dark. Thank you for being willing to partner with us as one of our prayer warriors. Here are some specific prayers for our current season at NSI~

April Prayer Requests:

  • A recent graduate is struggling greatly and currently in medical care. Pray that she stabilizes and is able to make good choices about her next steps.

  • One resident recently received news that is going to greatly impact her plans after graduating from NSI's program. Pray for wisdom and clarity as she adjusts her plans to navigate her new reality.

  • Three residents and a graduate are looking for meaningful work opportunities as they seek access points to reenter the workforce. Please pray that they find work with employers who are willing to coach them to succeed in their jobs.

  • It is a busy month of presentations for the team. Pray that we are effective both in educating the community as well as in glorifying God as we navigate conversations with other agencies. (and pray for stamina!)

  • One of our newest residents faces some significant hurdles in gaining access to her identification papers. Pray that she receives those soon so that she is able to process other paperwork (such as her insurance).

  • Pray for God's provision in funding for North Star's needs.

  • Pray for a resident undergoing a significant medical challenge.

  • Pray that we are able to add two residents soon to the Refuge! This is an urgent burden on our hearts as we seek to be effective in serving survivors.

  • Pray for the team to be renewed in their hope, joy and energy as we wind up this month.

    Praises

    • We are grateful that God provided a vehicle for one of our residents through someone in the community. This is a specific answer to her prayers!

    • We are grateful for residents' progress in their sobriety journeys.

    •  We have received several grants over the last two months, including funds that will allow us to prepare sensory rooms to help residents mitigate trauma responses and funds to support Florissant Collective, our new social enterprise that provides employment to residents and graduates!

    • Our team has navigated some difficult crises recently. We are grateful to God for his protection and provision during some long, challenging nights.

    •  We praise God daily for the many friends whose encouragement, prayer, gifts and service allow us to pursue the mission He has entrusted to us.

If you would like to join an in-person monthly prayer call with one of our board members, please contact April Miller to be added to the online invitation.
