COVER US IN PRAYER
PRAYER + PRAISES
In all we do, we depend on God’s goodness, generosity, and protection to serve survivors and stand against the dark. Thank you for praying with us!
“I ask the Father that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19
We are praying for:
That God would convict hearts, expose the deeds of darkness, and draw evildoers to repentance to bring an end to trafficking.
That our governments would enact just policies to provide protection and reintegration for survivors.
That survivors would encounter the love of God and experience true freedom.
For the new residents in our homes to feel safe and peaceful. For both homes to navigate the transitions well.
For unity, wisdom, endurance, compassion, and refreshment for each member of our team. We are also looking for another weekend coach to provide direct care for residents and for two new teammates for the development team. Pray that God would bring the right people, at the right time, with the right calling.
That God would provide beyond what we could imagine to meet some significant financial needs as we rest in his kindness and continue the work He’s entrusted to us.
That survivors would encounter the love of God and experience true freedom.
For the new residents in our homes to feel safe and peaceful. For both homes to navigate the transitions well.
That God would provide physical wellness, deep healing, meaningful community and open doors of opportunity for each survivor.
Meaningful work for our residents, particularly one who is currently wrestling through barriers to employment.
Donated cars for two residents in need of transportation. Having reliable transportation is critical for their long-term sustainability.
We are praising God for:
The joy of a survivor completing the program and celebrating her graduation.
Faithful donors who have steadily supported North Star through a challenging year, making it possible to care for survivors without any disruption to our programs or services.
A survivor who came to the Harbor this month to begin her healing journey.
A survivor who moved into the Refuge to continue pursuing her goals.
Staff members who have gone above and beyond to serve residents and each other over the last few weeks.
Volunteers who gladly joined a work day at the Refuge to get things ready for a new resident.
The privilege of sharing Jesus' invitation to a new life in the Father's family through a weekly Bible study with residents.
The steadfast, faithful love of God that casts out fear and covers us like a banner.
