If the person can’t walk away without fear of harm, it’s trafficking.

- MIRA SORVINO

UN AMBASSADOR ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING, 2013

Are you being trafficked, or do you know someone who is?

We may be able to help. Often, the first question we hear is, “Do you have a bed?”, but that may not be the most important question.

As more survivors attempt to make the long exit from “the life”, it's important to coordinate the services each one needs and to find the best program for her individual requirements.

To determine if one of our programs at The Harbor or Refuge Home is the right fit, you can apply now by clicking on the link below for our Residential Application, or call our intake phone number.

Intake Criteria

  • Is between the ages of 18-42 at the time of applying

  • A survivor of sex trafficking or sexual exploitation

  • Has been clean and sober at least 30 days (at the time of intake)

  • Does not have dependent children who require placement

  • Is ambulatory

  • Is biologically female

  • Is not prescribed methadone

  • Is able to self-manage

The intake line is open on weekdays. If you reach voicemail, leave a message. Calls are returned within 24 hours or by the next business day. A North Star Initiative staff member will assess needs and provide referrals.

Survivor safety and anonymity are top priorities; information shared is kept confidential. Victims of trafficking are encouraged to call or text the National Human Trafficking Resource Center.
